Wild Strawberries Less Than Perfect Screen Print

Details 

This screen print is created on paper using four hand-pulled layers, with each colour printed  separately. Because of this traditional process, slight imperfections naturally occur, an honest and beautiful part of screen printing that I’ve spent a long time learning to embrace and celebrate through my work. These versions have more noticeable imperfections, where layers haven’t lined up or printed correctly. To reduce waste and stay sustainable, they are still available to purchase, please see the photos for examples

Inspiration:

Drawing inspiration from Scotland’s wild strawberries, this design is thoughtfully illustrated and locally produced by hand in Edinburgh.

Materials:

These prints are created on A4 paper using traditional screen-printing ink and medium. Although I’ve put a lot of love and in-depth research into finding organic alternatives, these materials are not yet fully plant-based. However, sales of this work will directly support my ongoing research and development into completely natural, plant-based screen-printing methods.
